Privacy Policy

Your photographs and videos never leave your device because of ORYN. The App has no backend and makes no network requests of its own. What you capture is written to your own photo library, and nothing is copied, uploaded or transmitted to us. We never see your images, and there is no server on which they could be stored.

Your settings — the look you chose, capture preferences and similar options — are stored on the device using the system’s own preferences storage, and are read only by the App itself.

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your photographs, videos, or anything else you capture
• Your location
• Your contacts or any other personal files

ORYN contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. We do not measure how you use the App.

ORYN’s free tier is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK is part of the App, and it — not Kavvara — collects data in order to serve and measure those ads. According to Google’s own disclosures, that includes advertising data, a device identifier, coarse location and diagnostic information.

We do not receive that data. We see only aggregate reporting, such as how many ads were shown. ORYN Pro removes advertising entirely — for Pro users the ads SDK is not initialised at all.

On iOS you will be asked whether to allow tracking across apps and websites, in accordance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, ads still appear, but they are not personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you will additionally be shown a consent choice before any ad is loaded, and you can change that choice later from within the App.

ORYN Pro is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment and tells the App only whether an entitlement is active. We never receive your payment details, and we cannot see them.

ORYN asks for the camera, microphone and photo library only when a feature needs them, and uses them only for that feature: the camera for the viewfinder and capture, the microphone for audio while recording video, and photo library access to save what you shoot.

Declining a permission is a supported state, not an error. Video still records without the microphone, for example — silently, with a note in the App.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Where processing relies on consent — as advertising does — you may withdraw it at any time from within the App.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share your personal information.

In practice we hold very little: we operate no accounts and no servers that store your content, so for most requests the honest answer is that we have nothing on file about you. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, please use Google’s own controls, linked above.

ORYN is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy details for ORYN.
